My main goal for this journal is what most journals are, personal reflection and notes on my life. Most posts are friends lonly, but if they're generic enough I'll make them public.
I'm a graphic designer by day. Avid hobbyist by night. Hobbies include: camping, Burning, woodworking, needlepoint, sculpty clay stuffs, drawing and coloring, roller skating, cooking, organizing my life, and many other things.
I have been open to multiple relationships from a very young age. I was exposed to the idea that there were options other than monogamy when I was ten and my parents admitted that they had an open marriage. You'd think that that would make me, like, super adept at this polyamory thing. My first forays into non-monogamy weren’t very successful. I didn’t have any healthy examples, or a community to lean on. I’ve since found both of those.
What I've found is that society tends toward a very Christian and monogamous mindset and those roots run deep. I'm still learning, I'm still pulling threads of those mindsets out of my thinking. This blog is to help me catalog the continuous process of pulling out the threads of mainstream thinking and uncovering myself in the process, as well as share knowledge I've learned along the way.
